- Primarily participates in clinical practicum, labs, and other activities as coordinated with the educational vendor.
- Assists members of the Radiology Team in maintaining the department schedule by transporting patients, maintaining supplies and equipment, maintaining the utility areas, changing over / and assisting in the radiographic rooms, and navigating the PACS system to review images and send for interpretation as needed.
- Restocks and maintains patient care areas as assigned or directed. Assists in the care and handling of delicate, sophisticated, expensive equipment, i.e., Imaging and specialty equipment.
- Adheres to safety blood/body fluid and radiation safety policies and procedures.
- Processes digital images as requested by providers to CD or DVD format and/or sends electronically as required.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Demonstrate professional communication with patients and healthcare team members.
- Follow departmental policies, safety standards, and workflow expectations.
- Performs other work-related duties and activities as assigned or requested by his/her supervisor.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Minimum of High School Diploma/GED
- Enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technologist degree program
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow precise instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift and transport equipment and patients, and perform repetitive tasks
- (Preferred) –Patient care experience within a healthcare setting
Upon completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist degree program, the candidate will be moved into a Grade FHS10BR Radiologic Technologist position.
