As a Public Health Practitioner Apprentice, you will support a wide range of public health projects that aim to improve population health and reduce health inequalities across East Sussex. Working with colleagues, partner organisations and communities, you will contribute to priority programmes while developing the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to become a qualified and registered UKPHR Public Health Practitioner.
This is a training and development role, offering a structured pathway through a Level 4 to Level 6 degree apprenticeship over 39 months, combining practical experience with academic learning delivered remotely.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Commitment to complete the 3 year Degree Apprenticeship Public Health Practitioner
- Ability to plan and organise a varied workload for self and others, working to short deadlines and able to work on own initiative.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of people in a clear, concise and accurate manner, changing messages to suit different audiences, including negotiation skills
- Experience related to health, health promotion or social care settings either work voluntary or personal.
- Working knowledge of the East Sussex area.
- Ability to use technology as part of the role: Microsoft 365 including
