About the role:
1. During the apprenticeship, the successful candidate will participate in both academic and vocational training resulting in a Level 4 Quality Practitioner qualification (Environmental) that is professionally recognised by the Chartered Quality Institute, NOCN Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations (Engineering Practices) and Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship
2. Shadow key members of the IMS and Environmental teams.
3. Support the Environmental team with requirements associated with environmental legislation.
4. Support the Environmental Management System (EMS), including updating of the EMS manual, data collection & analysis, reporting, compliance & environmental audits.
5. Support with the organization of environmental data to facilitate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles.
6. Read and understand customer environmental queries to support the bids and tenders team.
7. Participate in environmental investigations and support with regular sample collection for proof of compliance with regards to trade effluent discharge and compliance with Environmental Permits.
8. Support with the creation of plans and procedures for topics such as spill prevention, dealing with hazardous waste and improving air quality in line with requirements of ISO 14001.
9. Prepare data for the environmental team and actively participate in meetings and tracking of agreed follow-up actions
10. Support with the identification of new legislation or changes to existing legislation and work to implement actions to ensure compliance.
