About the Programme
The Regulatory Compliance Apprenticeship programme at the FCA is designed to prepare you for a career in regulation. The Regulatory Compliance Apprenticeship will develop your skills in analysing data, information and intelligence, undertaking risk assessments, preparing for inspections and audits and promoting compliance through advice and guidance. In this role, you will work across a variety of projects, working with a range of stakeholders to best assure compliance.
To apply for this programme, you will need to have a minimum 2 Scottish Highers; one A and one B. You will also need a minimum of 5 National 5 passes grades A-C, including Maths and English.
By the end of the programme, you’ll be ready for roles across the FCA’s Regulatory profession, including divisions such as Supervision, Policy & Competition and Authorisations.
The key responsibilities of a Regulatory Compliance Apprentice will include:
Analyse data, information and intelligence to identify risks, inform supervisory judgements, and support proportionate intervention decisions.
Manage a portfolio of cases either in supervision policy and competition or authorisations, including engaging with firms, assessing compliance, and progressing matters in line with agreed processes and service standards.
Undertake risk assessments and support inspections, audits and investigations, including work arising from complaints, incidents or identified non‑compliance.
