Description
Join our ICT team and gain hands-on experience supporting staff and students across the College while working towards your ICT apprenticeship qualification. You’ll develop real-world technical, communication and problem-solving skills, learning everything from hardware and software support to digital systems, troubleshooting and customer service.

And the best part? Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be offered a full-time position as an ICT 1st Line Engineer.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide 1st-line ICT support to staff and students, assisting with technical issues relating to hardware, software, systems and devices.
- Support the setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of IT equipment including laptops, desktop computers, printers, mobile devices and audio-visual equipment.
- Assist with the installation, configuration and updating of software and applications across the College.
- Respond to ICT support requests in a professional and timely manner, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Develop effective customer service skills by building positive working relationships with colleagues, students and external stakeholders.
- Use College systems, equipment and digital technologies safely, securely and in accordance with College policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests, equipment and completed work using manual and computerised systems.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, cyber security and information governance requirements when handling sensitive or personal information.
- Work collaboratively within the ICT team, supporting colleagues, attending meetings and contributing positively to team objectives.
- Manage workloads, apprenticeship assignments and training activities effectively, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Participate fully in apprenticeship training, reviews and development activities, applying learning within the workplace.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD), learning new technologies and developing technical knowledge and skills
